Seriously, vista has its flaws but with the perks, gadgets(notepad, cpu/memory dials), interface, and search makes it worth it.
And like the guys above said, having newer parts makes a big difference. My system boots up like a dream and never crashes. I haven't had a freeze or performance dip ever. I'm not a radical gamer though, so don't think I am. Of course a more stripped down basic OS like XP would run your games faster.

I guess I should have elaborated. But no I don't hate the PS3. Getting a BR player for the PC was something I would have to get anyways. And a PS3 is 400$, which is way too expensive. Also considering their exclusives aren't really something I'm looking for. Sure I'd have fun with some but it isn't worth it. A 360 plays the vast majority of the games I want.
For others it's a great deal. And I am waiting for BDU-X10S reviews before I buy it.

Anyways, good choice on the "Nautilus" model from 20,000 Leagues, an amazing movie. It wouldn't even cost 3 million to make this, unless you were a complete novice with all the money in the world who had to hire contractors/electrical workers that took advantage of him. The hardest part with this would be to synchronize all 20-30 speaker arrangements.

True, for that money it is the better deal. However, since I'll need a BR player for my PC eventually I'm going to get the new 200$ BR Sony player that comes out this week.
I'd recommend that, because since it's a sony drive, it'll be constantly updated to play the latest movies. Now I may get a PS3, but I doubt it because it's 400 vs. 200 right now. And by the time the PS3 is down to 250-300, the next wave of consoles will already be coming out.
Performance is amazing, and it's 100x thinner than the Mac Air
because it has an unstoppable image in the market. One of the greatest successes in my opinion of selling overpriced hardware, just cause it says it's an iPod. Ipod perfected mp3 players at the beginning of it all, and because of that they demolished the tiny competition.
It's not the same, but similar. There are much better/cheaper mp3 players out there, but it's got the Ipod logo.

When did mac consumers start thinking about price, instead of being trendy and hip. For the record, I'm not a Mac hater. OSX/Leopard is the better OS, but at what outrageous prices? If you don't mind paying big bucks, go for it. But for the rest of the world, price matters first and foremost.

If my new 8600gt can run this on max perhaps I'll get it for PC. But if not I'll just get it for my 360.
